Subsidiary KOB: new steam plant cuts CO₂ emissions by 37% annually
In a very detailed procedure, Markus Kneißl, Head of Occupational Health Management at HARTMANN, together with his team, presented the company’s OHM model. The concept was convincing: on December 10, the team proudly accepted the award at the celebratory ceremony in Königswinter near Bonn. Every year, EUPD Research and Handelsblatt award 20 industry prizes, and HARTMANN's OHM is now recognized as one of the best in Germany.
Stefan Grote, Member of the Executive Board, emphasized HARTMANN's commitment to employee health: "People's health is at the heart of all activities for us as a medical technology company – for patients, for caregivers, and for employees in the healthcare system. As an employer, we take the topic of health extremely seriously. Our OHM is tailored to the needs of our employees and closely linked to our vision: ‘Help, Care, Protect.’"

Unlike conventional approaches, HARTMANN uses specific key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify precisely what individual employees need. Based on these insights, tailored measures are developed – from ergonomic improvements to personalized workplace training with the "Trainingsinsel." The jury emphasized that employees benefit from comprehensive health services that are precisely tailored to their needs. This strengthens her performance and motivation.
However, not only the measures were scrutinized, but also whether they are effectively communicated to the workforce. In this context, the "Health Days" and a series of lectures were rated positively: Preventive measures such as skin cancer screening or breast cancer education are not only offered. Attention is also drawn to this, and time is made available for it, so that they can be used.
The Corporate Health Award confirms the high quality of HARTMANN's OHM and strengthens the company’s employer brand. Markus Kneißl sees the award primarily as motivation: “The award confirms that our integrative and individualized approach is successful. At the same time, it inspires us to continue finding new ways to promote the well-being of all employees – whether in production or the office.”
HARTMANN remains committed to its vision of creating a sustainable health culture. With offerings ranging from ergonomics and preventive measures to workplace-focused training, the company sets a clear example of health as a shared responsibility.
HARTMANN. Health. With Responsibility.
