“Health care professional of the Year”: HARTMANN champions recognition for health care professionals in the Czech Republic

Health care professionals perform extraordinary work daily, despite difficult conditions and heavy responsibility. They are essential to our healthcare system, offering not only physical care, but also emotional support. It is important that they feel recognized and valued by society and the government alike.

For almost 20 years, HARTMANN has proudly partnered with the Czech Republic’s Sestra roku, a “Health care professional of the Year” competition recognizing the work that health care professionals do. This year, the awards honoring outstanding health care professionals took place at Prague’s Lucerna Cinema, where HARTMANN served on the jury.

The competition celebrates health care professionals in categories such as “Health care professionals in Direct Care” and “Health care professionals in Social Services”, with additional awards like “Health care professionals of My Heart” selected by public vote. This year, Health Minister Vlastimil Válek introduced the new “Minister of Health Award”, presented for the first time.

Public campaigns and initiatives that emphasize the importance of professional care are essential tools to advocate for health care professionals and give them the respect they deserve. Health care professionals need and deserve more than symbolic appreciation – they deserve fair working conditions, adequate pay and comprehensive support in their day-to-day working lives.

That’s why HARTMANN is dedicated to remain a committed partner of “Health care professional of the Year” for years to come.
