Bacillol® Zero Tissues nominated for TRIGOS 2024

TRIGOS is an Austrian award for responsible business and sustainability. Since 2004, it has honored companies that take a leading role in sustainability and contribute to the future viability of the economy, society and environment in Austria.

This year, 165 companies and organizations took part with very competitive submissions, and from that total the TRIGOS expert jury nominated 19 in six categories. Bacillol® Zero Tissues has been nominated in the „Social Innovation & Future Challenges“ category and is one of the outstanding projects to make the cut. The expert jury stated: “HARTMANN’s project is of great importance considering the growing challenges within the healthcare sector, particularly for infection prevention. It not only offers a solution to an acute problem, but also sets new standards of sustainable innovation in the healthcare sector.”

The nomination of Bacillol® Zero Tissues shows that product innovations can make a major contribution to the industry as it moves towards greater sustainability.

In 2023, HARTMANN successfully launched the new Bacillol® Zero Tissues in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands. In the current year, it was launched in Spain, Portugal, the Czech Republic and Poland. The innovative solution for surface disinfection is a major step towards sustainability. The product is sustainable in terms of formulation, wipe material (100% plastic-free) and packaging, while offering highly effective protection against infection in the medical environment. Furthermore, it has an up to 75% lower CO2 footprint than conventional, low-alcohol surface disinfection wipes. Bacillol® Zero Tissues contain a patented mix of active ingredients based on organic acids derived from fruit.

Bacillol® Zero Tissues underline HARTMANN’s high sustainability standards. They also serve the growing market demand for environmentally friendly alternatives in the field of surface disinfectants, while contributing to the protection of people and the environment.

We are looking forward to the award decision at the TRIGOS Gala in September 2024.
