HARTMANN applies for environmental technology award

HARTMANN has entered its Bacillol® Zero Tissues in a competition for the 2025 Baden-Württemberg Environmental Technology Award (Umwelttechnikpreis BW). The entry was submitted in the categories of material efficiency, emission reduction and the circular economy.

Presented by the Ministry of the Environment, Climate Protection and Energy of Baden-Württemberg, the award recognizes market-ready products that contribute significantly to environmental and climate protection through innovative technology. The focus is on solutions that conserve resources, reduce emissions and support a circular economy.

Bacillol® Zero Tissues were developed with ecological aspects in mind. The product effectively disinfects surfaces with a holistic approach to sustainability – from the formula to the wipe material and packaging. The wipes are 100% plastic-free and the disinfectant solution is primarily composed of natural ingredients, while avoiding substances that are harmful to the environment. The packaging concept uses recyclable mono film.

As a result, the carbon footprint is up to 75% lower than conventional low-alcohol disinfectant wipes. This significantly reduces environmental impact while maintaining high effectiveness in medical environments.
