Partnership for a climate-neutral healthcare system

HARTMANN is an official sustainability partner of the ZUKE Green Community. The initiative, derived from “Zukunft Krankenhaus Einkauf” (future hospital procurement), has been dedicated to the socio-ecological transformation of inpatient healthcare in Germany, Austria and Switzerland since 2021. With an interdisciplinary network of hospital staff and industry partners, ZUKE aims to make hospitals climate-neutral by 2040 at the latest. This is to be achieved through the exchange of best practices in the field of sustainability and supporting digital tools.

Developing sustainable solutions tailored to the healthcare sector

HARTMANN actively contributes to the ZUKE community through regular digital exchange formats and focus groups, tailoring its sustainable product solutions to the needs of hospitals in German-speaking countries and jointly advancing the topic of sustainability in the industry.

The ZUKE Green Health Congress as a platform for dialogue

The annual ZUKE Green Health Congress provides a forum for direct dialogue between hospital staff and solution providers in the field of sustainable healthcare. The congress highlights concrete solutions and innovative approaches for sustainable transformation in everyday hospital life and actively connects hospital staff with partners from the sector. Together with other healthcare companies, HARTMANN actively contributes its expertise on topics such as sustainable surface disinfection, i.e. in the form of practical presentations, discussions, best practices and digital networking formats.

Following its latest ESG reassessment, the HARTMANN site in Herbrechtingen earned a silver medal from EcoVadis. With a total score of 74, the site ranks in the top three percent of recently assessed manufacturers of medical and dental instruments and supplies.
